As Justin mentions here, “Oracle Offers to Acquire BEA”. This really makes sense. As far as I know, the BEA WebLogic app server is the most loved one and probably implemented one regarding PeopleSoft implementations. I am only surprised that it took this long to make a shot at it. I would have expected this move after the days when Oracle bought PeopleSoft. Anyway, good move.
