Oracle 12c: DB Express – Sneak Peek

The new Database Express or DB Express database utility is different from the former DB Console. It is based on flash and “built-in” the database. To give you a small overview (sneak peek) into this great new tool for, for example, database performance tuning, hereby some pictures to create some appetite. As you can see via this short introduction, a lot of the later performance goodies we already know and love are present in the new DB Express tool. Some of the old features have also disappeared.

In a “Pluggable Database” environment, this tool is a great asset to the developers, and for those who loved the disappeared toolset from DB Console, it is probably time to have a closer look at the “no cost” option called “Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Cloud Control”…
