OOW 2009 My XMLDB Presentations

Just lest then one and a half months to go and still working on my presentations. Both my presentations will be on Sunday this year and I am afraid about the possible jet-lag impact as I had serious presentation troubles in 2008 to keep my story line straight. We will see this year, preparation will be everything to avoid this issue again. Anyway after Sunday I will be able to enjoy Oracle Open World this year.

There are not many XMLDB presentations or, for instance APEX presentations, that make use of the XMLDB functionality. Only 15 sessions or so, of those 1600 sessions, really demonstrate the power of XMLDB There are some from Mark Drake that will be interesting again. One using Spatial and Google API’s and others to create a mashup and another one using APEX as a frontend to use XMLDB content management functionality.

My session schedule information:

ID#: S307479
Title: Oracle XML Database: Design Concepts for XML Applications That Will Perform
Track: Oracle Develop: Database
Date: 11-OCT-09
Time: 11:45 – 12:45
Venue: Hilton Hotel
Room: Golden Gate 2

ID#: S307480
Title: Oracle XML Database: Oracle Database 11g Release 2 New Features
Track: Database
Date: 11-OCT-09
Time: 15:30 – 16:15
Venue: Moscone West L2
Room: Room 2012

The Oracle 11gR2 one, has been now also labeled for/under the “Primavera Program” sessions, no idea actually if that is extra “interesting” or not, but anyway, at least its a bit strange due it says on the “Primavera Program” pages that it should only be on Wednesday and Thursday…

Oracle welcomes the Primavera community to Oracle OpenWorld with a special two-day Primavera Program. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with product experts and peers and learn about the latest Primavera product releases from Oracle. Customers of Oracle’s Primavera line of enterprise project portfolio management (EPPM) applications can choose from more than 70 educational sessions, while also having the opportunity to learn about the broad portfolio of Oracle solutions. Oracle OpenWorld attendees interested in learning more about how project portfolio management software can help reduce risk and control project costs are invited to attend as well.

There is still room so your welcome to join the sessions. I hope there will be a “meet the Oracle ACE’s” set-up again, so there will be another opportunity to meet us (and it is just cool to speak to many friends, over the years again, that I normally only virtually meet through e-mail or their blog sites).

See you there (keep you posted)
